A total of 10 outstanding individuals from different industrial sectors were recognized as the Top 10 Shenzhen Artisans for the year 2023 at the launch ceremony of the third Shenzhen Artisan Week at the north square of Shenzhen Book City CBD Store in Futian on Dec. 10.
The awardees are Wang Wenkui from Daya Bay Nuclear Power Operation and Management Co. Ltd., Wang Liqun from AQSIQ Shenzhen Jewelry Inspection Laboratory Co. Ltd., Wang Bing from Shenzhen Metro Operation Group Co. Ltd., Ye Juxiong from Shenzhen Tiannuo Automation Co. Ltd., Liu Zhonghua from Shenzhen Fiyta Precision Technology Co. Ltd., Li Bingyao from Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau Co. Ltd., Wu Qingguo from Shenzhen Qingbaoxuan Jewelry Culture Co. Ltd., Zhang Xiaoxiao from Li Rong Shoes (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd., Luo Yiyu from CNOOC (China) Ltd. Shenzhen Branch, and Zhao Zhiguo from Wu Qingguo Technician School.
The launch of the artisan week featured craftsmanship in diverse fields such as 3D printing, automobile manufacturing, Cantonese cuisine, architectural art and paintings, jewelry, garment designs, and floral arrangements.
In the coming week, over 30 activities will be held across the city to honor artisans’ craftsmanship and model workers.
Currently, Shenzhen has a skilled workforce exceeding 4 million individuals, accounting for one-third of the city’s employment population and two-thirds of the city’s talents. Skilled individuals holding high-level professional titles represent 36% of the city’s total skilled workforce.
