Xinzhou Road has been upgraded into a 5G intelligent traffic model road, the first such road in China.

Along the road, monitoring cameras, plate recognition systems and automatically uploaded video and photos of traffic situations and violations are sent back to the command center through the 5G network.

In minor incidents, residents can take care of the situation through the remote system on the WeChat account of traffic police.

Shenzhen police will also try to apply AI technology to its motorcycle squad, which can be used to automatically recognize license plates and send back data when officers are on patrol.
