The Xiangmihu Subdistrict showcased the fruits of the international block it started in the last decade to attract talents from all over the world at the the 21st Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) between April 15 and 16 in 2023.

Xiangmihu is definitely a desirable high-quality modern block to live in and work in. Based on its blessed natural environment and well-connected transportation network, Xiangmihu boasts complete living facilities, rich educational resources, sufficient medical resources, superior living quality and various cultural and sports spaces.

For a long time, Xiangmihu has made great efforts in primary-level governance and reform, layout of livelihood projects, aggregation of high-quality industries, establishment of new financial centers, building of a green city areas and  integration of Chinese and foreign cultures.

The Xiangmihu block was thus awarded honorary titles such as one of the first batch of Shenzhen's "International Demonstration Blocks," "Block with Special International Business Exchanges" and "International Talent Block Creation Point" in recent years.

In the future, Xiangmihu will set its sights on building an international block with 3C (connection, contest, community) and other concepts in line with the 18+9 high-quality development plans. The Xiangmihu block will aim to build itself into an international exchange center and a cluster of financial headquarters in a bid to play its part in domestic and international competition.

At the CIEP, the Xiangmihu block’s booth was divided into three areas: an attractive block to live, work and visit. The natural scenery of mountains, lakes, gardens and forests was the basic design element of the booth. On top of that, one could sense the cultural convergence of coffee and Chinese tea. What these elements show was the diversified tastes of life in the Xiangmihu block. There were also sophisticated Guqin performance, Western music, Sichuan opera face-changing art, flower art and other cultural activities, which dazzled visitors. The immersive experience provided with tea, Guqin, flowers and incense kept visitors lingering. The mascot placed at the entrance to the Xiangmihu block’s booth was named Mi Dwen Dwen, which symbolizes the spirit of hard work, pragmatism, unity and dedication.
