Shenzhen is set to host the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting this year. As the premier forum for economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific, APEC was established in November 1989 with the primary objective of driving sustainable economic growth and regional prosperity. The Economic Leaders' Meeting is scheduled to be held in mid-to-late November this year. While the summit is the highlight of the year, a series of ministerial meetings and thematic forums will take place leading up to the event, in accordance with APEC's established annual cooperation mechanism.
Shenzhen has been designated as the host city of the 2026 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and its major ministerial meetings. Known for its technological innovation, robust trade infrastructure, and spirit of inclusiveness, Shenzhen is committed to serving as a vital link for deepening economic cooperation and fostering connectivity throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
