Under the jurisdiction of the Futian district government, the Futian Sub-bureau of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau is responsible for public security across the district.

Its main functions include: implementing national laws, regulations, and policies, supervising and inspecting enforcement in conjunction with the actual conditions of the district; handling the investigation of criminal cases throughout the district, preventing and combating various criminal activities (including serious crimes in the economic sector) as well as any activities that pose a threat to national security; overseeing district patrols, public security, economic security, guard duty, preliminary examinations, detention, population management, immigration control, as well as the education, training, and management of public security officers; and undertaking other tasks assigned by the district committee, district government, and higher-level competent authorities.
