Tsutaya Bookstore from Japan has opened its first store in Shenzhen at C Future City in Futian District. Readers can not only browse various types of books themed in art, but also experience a full artistic atmosphere via a variety of cultural and creative products.

The 2,000-square-meter bookstore is divided into several parts. Visitors can find specialty books for fashion, design and films from home and abroad. A display area presents some orphan works with a high collection value. Furthermore, interested readers can buy original Japanese magazines focused on lifestyle and fashion that are rarely seen in Shenzhen.
Apart from books, delicate tableware made by Japanese artisans as well as Japanese artworks are being sold. There’s also a spacious café citizens can enjoy. In addition, toys and dolls enhance smooth feelings for children in the children’s reading area.
Named “heaven for people who work in the field of arts,” Tsutaya Bookstore originated in Osaka and now has more than 1,000 branches in Japan, with about 70 million members around the world. Its branch in Daikanyama, Tokyo is regarded as one of the 20 most beautiful bookstores globally. China’s first Tsutaya Bookstore opened in 2020 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
