The Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra (SZSO) will collaborate with young pianist Shen Lu to present Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 18.” The concert, with Christian Ehwald wielding the baton, will also include Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 4 in F Minor, Op. 36.” Meanwhile, over the weekend, the Shanghai Quartet will perform two concerts. On Saturday, the string musicians will play pieces by Haydn, Mozart and Dvořák, and on Sunday, they will present tunes by Tan Dun, Zhou Long, Penderecki and Barber.
