Murcia, the national dance company of Spain, will present a new piece of classical flamenco titled “Carmen” at Shenzhen Children’s Palace on Friday.
“Carmen” is a timeless piece of dramatic dance. It tells the story of love, jealousy and death between the soldier Don José and the gypsy Carmen, who has become a symbol of a tragic, fatal and universal myth. The passionate yet melancholic Flamenco would be the best to reveal the nature of this half-angel, half-demon gypsy woman.
Founded in 1985, Murcia is renowned for its high-talent productions and the passion and art its dancers bring to performances. Murcia has its own identity, engaging in many different styles and forms of Spanish dance.
