SD News 2018-03-29 18:34

French DJ Jacques makes music using anything and everything. This Sunday afternoon’s live session will see the inspiring composer creating a track from household objects.

Viewers are encouraged to bring some daily objects of their own and the DJ may use them in his live performance. No sign-up is required.

A fresh face on the French electronic music scene, DJ Jacques has just released footage of his latest performance “Phonochose,” which sees him putting a variety of household objects to good melodious use.

Led by his label Pains Surprises, this live session will see the young man making beats from items including a globe, a pen, a bike and a simple piece of paper, finally becoming an elaborate and polished tune.

He has participated with Parisian director Julian Stark on the film “French Waves” following the evolution of electronic music from the 1990s to the current day.
