Three print exhibitions are being held at China Printmaking Museum in Longhua District.
China Printmaking Museum is China’s first printmaking museum in Guanlan Printmaking Base. It offers a platform for exhibitions of the art form, academic exchanges and art education seminars.
To promote printmaking and the cultural industry in Shenzhen, the printmaking base was built in 2008 and the Guanlan International Print Biennial has been successfully held since 2007. This year, the Sixth Guanlan International Print Biennial has received 4,054 works of 2,175 artists from 83 countries and regions. More than 300 works have been selected for the biennial and 13 have been awarded as biennial honorary works.
As a cultural brand with international reputation, the biennial, China Printmaking Museum and Guanlan Printmaking Base have created a favorable environment for the international exchange of printmaking and the development of Chinese print art. There are more than 20 elegant traditional Hakka houses with a history of nearly 300 years surrounded by lotus ponds, bamboo thickets, farmlands and hills around the base. So far, more than 200 artists from 40 countries have come here to complete projects.
