The Shangbu Green Corridor in Futian District recently won first prize in the planning design category of the 2022 Science and Technology Awards of the China Society of Landscape Architecture, not long after it won a merit prize from the Greater Bay Area Urban Design Awards.

The project is located in the Shangbu area, an old community with a high population density. It stretches for three kilometers through an area where old residential buildings are located that house nearly 150,000 residents.

As a restoration project along Metro Lines 3 and 6, the design of the corridor involved the participation of nearly 30,000 residents. It has preserved 1,263 trees and built a children’s park and a series of community parks that serve for various purposes such as sports, social activities and camping.
