Futian District will provide up to five days of free accommodation for young people from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas who travel to Shenzhen to start a business. Applications can be submitted up to 15 days in advance of designated check-in dates.
This new policy aims to address housing issues that newly arrived young entrepreneurs commonly face. These young people also need time to become familiar with local policies that support entrepreneurship in the city.
Qualified applicants will have graduated within the last year, hold a master’s degree or above, and posses a degree certificate issued by an overseas higher-education institution that is recognized by the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, only those who do not have an apartment in Shenzhen are eligible. The free housing is located on the fourth floor of the Sunflower Hotel, which is at the intersection of Shixia North 1 Street and Binhe Boulevard.
Separately, Futian District has also created a youth home for recent college graduates who come to the city in search of employment and senior-year college students who are interning in Shenzhen, offering free stays for up to seven days.
The youth home is located in the Qiuguo Hotel at No. 321 Shixiadongcun housing estate in Futian and is conveniently accessible by bus and Metro lines 1, 2, 3, 4, and 11 from the Futian, Shopping Park, and Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center stations.
Interested applicants can visit https://home.szyouth.cn/ for more information and to apply. Alternatively, applicants can search for the WeChat mini-program “青年驿站,” to fill out a registration form and upload electronic versions of their ID card, degree certificates, and other necessary documents.
