Registration for the 2026 Shenzhen Marathon will open at 2 p.m. on Sunday, organizers announced.

This year's event will be a full marathon with 30,000 participants. Runners can find registration information and further updates on the event's official website.

Founded in 2013, the Shenzhen Marathon will hold its 12th edition this year. It has become one of Shenzhen’s major urban sporting events and a popular race among runners.

Last year’s race drew positive feedback from runners for its race-day services and participant perks. Every runner received a backpack, while those who finished within three hours were offered a special package that included earphones, milk, stretching-session vouchers and a customized cape. The event delivered a strong sense of ceremony and celebration, raising expectations for what organizers may offer runners this year.

With a route passing some of Shenzhen’s best-known landmarks, this year’s Shenzhen Marathon is expected to draw runners from across the country.
