COVID measures for travel tightened
Shenzhen Daily 2021-06-15 10:04

Tighter COVID-19 measures have been in place for air travelers and bus riders in Shenzhen, sources from the Shenzhen airport and bus group said.

Starting June 13, all passengers departing from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport are required to present their travel records at the security entrance, along with their green health codes and nucleic acid test results that have been required for travel since June 7.

Travel records can be found at the “通信行程卡” or “国务院客户端” WeChat miniprogram.

Air travelers who have visited Guangzhou and Foshan in Guangdong Province 14 days prior to the trip must present negative results of nucleic acid testing conducted within 48 hours before travel.

People will also be required to have their body temperature checked and present their green health codes before entering the airport.

For seniors, children and other people who have difficulties in using mobile phones, they can have their identity cards read by ID Card Readers in the airport to get health codes and virus test results.

Measures released June 7 require all passengers leaving the Shenzhen airport to present their green health codes and a negative result of a nucleic acid test taken within 72 hours before departure.

For passengers who hold a Guangzhou or Foshan ID card or have traveled to the two cities within 14 days, they should present a negative result of a nucleic acid test conducted within 48 hours.

The requirements exclude transfer passengers who arrive in Shenzhen.

Shenzhen bus passengers are also required to show green health codes before boarding, starting June 12.

The health codes can be acquired via the “粤省事” (yueshengshi) or “深i您”(shenainin) WeChat miniprogram.

The elderly, children and other passengers who are not used to using mobile phones can have their health codes registered online and presented at boarding by their companions. They can also print out and bring with them paper-based green codes, which must be printed in color and within seven days before riding the bus.
