Peking University Shenzhen Hospital will soon put into use the fourth generation da Vinci surgical system, the hospital said Friday morning.
Chen Yun, president of the hospital, said that the hospital’s first robot-assisted surgery is expected to be performed by the end of this month.
The fourth generation da Vinci Xi surgical system, widely used in minimally invasive surgeries, uses enhanced cameras for 3D visualization and surgeon-controlled robotic arms for more precise movements.
