Futian District, which occupies 78.66 square kilometers, has built 125 parks for citizens to enjoy a “green” city life. The green area of Futian is 3,384.48 hectares, with a green coverage rate of 46 percent. Residents have access to a municipal park, a community park or a green belt within 500 meters.
The 76,000-suqare-meter Futian Coastal Ecological Sports Park opened to the public Sept. 11 with football pitches — two standard ones for 11 players, four pitches for eight players and another two for five players.
