A bazaar was held at Futian Mangrove Ecological Park on March 12 to celebrate the 45th National Tree Planting Day. Organized by Shenzhen Mangrove Conservation Foundation, the event aimed to increase public understanding of the importance of mangroves and awareness of mangrove ecosystems protection. Shenzhen, which will be home to world’s first international mangrove center, has 296 hectares of mangrove forests, according to official data.
