FUTIAN citizens were treated to a sports event Nov. 26 and 27 at Central Park, where they tried out various sports under the guidance of professionals. Yoga, archery, gymnastics, chess and computer games were taught. A three-day sports facilities fair at the venue until Nov. 27 presented the newest products from brands like Adidas and Nike. Since its opening Aug. 6, the Futian Sports Festival, organized by the district government to encourage people to go outdoors and exercise more, hosted about 230 events. A district-level sports tournament was held where 18 teams competed against each other in 12 categories. The festival ended Nov. 27.
