Futian District inked a friendly exchange and cooperation memorandum with Issy-Les-Moulineaux (Issy), a French city southwest of Paris, on April 22, 2013. According to the memorandum, Shenzhen’s central district will exchange and cooperate with Issy in fields including economics, education, culture, science, technology and sports. Additionally, officials from the two locations will frequently visit each other to discuss issues of mutual concern. 

“The two sides can strengthen cooperation in urban construction and management. In the field of education, we can realize exchange among schools. Our students can be selected and sent to see Shenzhen’s efforts and achievements in economic development,” --- ISSY Mayor André Santini, in an interview with a Futian journalist.
