Futian District inked a friendly exchange and cooperation memorandum with Iiyama in Japan’s Nagano prefecture on July 10, 2012. Through the agreement, the district is expected to expand its current education-related cooperation with the Japanese city to cover areas including economic development, trade, culture and arts, sports and tourism.

“Since the cooperation between Shenzhen Foreign Languages School in Futian and a middle school in Iiyama has been going smoothly for more than 10 years, the city and the district can develop further cooperation in education,” Iiyama Mayor Adachi Masanori said.
