Strolling through Shenzhen’s parks has never been only about greenery. A new wave of hybrid spaces is quietly transforming local parks — blending reading, dining, and tech experiences into the landscape. Here are five spots that opened in parks in recent years, offering fresh ways to relax.

Babe’s Kitchen

An earthy-red building in Shenzhen Central Park’s Zone D, decorated with a baseball-shaped neon sign, has been drawing curious visitors since it opened a few months ago. Step inside and you’ll find a warm, club-like atmosphere, with windows that look out toward the ballpark.

The 300-square-meter venue is spread across two floors. Downstairs, Babe’s Kitchen is bright and airy, with wooden ceiling beams, ceiling fans, and a menu ranging from coffee and light meals to craft beer. 

Upstairs, a baseball culture exhibition hall traces the sport’s journey in Shenzhen and China, alongside displays of international baseball history, equipment, and rule explanations — making it appealing to both sports fans and curious visitors.

Alpha Egg Smart Space 阿尔法蛋智慧空间

At Lianhua Hill Park, the Alpha Egg Smart Space blends a book bar, an AI experience zone, and cultural retail in an area of roughly 200 square meters. Visitors can read books, try AI products, or challenge the Go-playing robot.
